So I finally managed to write a scripted discovery (with a lot of assistance from MPAlchemy) that pulls the volume guid data from a logical volume (gwmi win32_volume |select deviceid). I would have liked to do this with a WMI discovery but couldn’t get it to work…something to do with instances I think. Anyway now that I have that property discovered I need to monitor if it changes from one day to the next. I’m guessing that I need to pull the data from DW and compare it to the value pulled from the latest discovery but have no idea how to go about doing that. Very much appreciated if someone could point me in the right direction.
